I Believe In Jesus Christ
by Pastor Jack Hayford
I believe in Jesue Christ the Son of God; the Word, who was one
with the Father before all worlds; the Love Gift of the Father for
the redemption of this world; and the One in whom the Father is
please to have all fullness dwell now and forever.
Because I believe this, I worship Him as Alpha and Omega—the
Beginning and the End—for He precedes all and exceeds all
that has or shall ever be. I receive and acknowledge Him as Redeemer,
for He alone is adequate to furnish release and salvation for mankind.
I honor Him as Lord above all, according to the Father's desire
that every knee bow and every tongue confess Him name with praise.
I believe in Jesus Christ the sinless Savior; the Word made flesh
throught virgin birth, and a body therby prepared for sacrifice
as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. I believe
that in His death He bore the full weight and consequence of all
our sins, that we through His blood might be justified before God,
forgiven and cleansed in heart and conscience, and progressively
purified in holiness of life.
Because I believe this, I welcome the personal triumph in life
that is mine because Jesus Christ has come in the flesh: I acknowledge
Him as my substitute in payment for my sins; I accept the divine
release from all quilt or condemnation, since because of Jesus,
the Father's accounts show me as never having sinned; and I commit
myself to Him who gave His gave His life for me, that He may live
His life daily through mine, in thought, word, and deed.
I believe in Jesus Christ the living Lord; resurrected from the
dead, a victor over hell's every power, ascended to the Father's
right hand, ruling in might, and ceaselessly interceding for
His own.
Because I believe this, I walk in victory by faith in Him;
free of fear, delivered from darkness, secured by His power, reigning
with Him in life, and sustained by His constant watch over me.
With such a Master as this, I can live in the confidence that all
He has begun in me He will complete—unto the day of His return.
